Bocuse d'Or
NZ Premium Foods are proud supporters of the New Zealand team heading to the Bocuse d’Or Continental Selections in Guangzhou, May 2018.
Bocuse d’Or is the culinary equivalent of the Olympic games, a biennial world chef championship. Named for the chef Paul Bocuse, the event takes place during two days near the end of January in Lyon, France at the SIRHA International Hotel, Catering and Food Trade Exhibition, and is one of the world's most prestigious cooking competitions.
The idea: to bring together 24 young chefs from all over the world, among the most promising talents of their generation, and have them prepare superb dishes within 5 hours 35 minutes, live before an enthusiastic audience. To decide between them: a jury composed of the most illustrious chefs of the planet.
From May 8th to 9th, the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Centre will host the Continental Selections where 12 chefs from all over Asia-Pacific will face each other. After winning the national selection held in their respective countries, the candidates are more eager than ever to surpass themselves during a culinary show that promises to be staggering! It is the last step before going to Lyon, France, for the Finale that will take place in January 2019, during Sirha trade show.
