NZ Premium Foods was founded in 2008 by Rachael Speedy and a friend, both passionate foodies who grew up on farms in southern Hawke’s Bay. With deep roots in the land and a love for good, honest food, Rachael set out to share her passion for supplying quality ingredients, food as it should be.

Originally established to serve the foodservice with premium local products, NZ Premium Foods has since built a formidable reputation, supplying customers both locally and internationally. What began as a humble operation has blossomed into an iconic brand foodies. Today, the foodies name is recognized both in New Zealand and abroad for its supreme quality, freshness, and commitment to pure, honest ingredients, food with nothing it shouldn’t contain, just as nature intended.

We have been proudly supplying the foodservice sector for several years and have established ourselves as market leaders with our foodies product range. Among these, we are especially proud to lead the market with foodies Pure NZ Flaky Sea Salt, a completely sustainable, sun-dried sea salt harvested from Marlborough. This natural process, taking two years from start to finish, results in a highly prized salt cherished by chefs, cooks, and foodies alike.
